Site founder of Chinese origin Languishing Pirated Software Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison






   A founder of the site which provide pirated software from China have languished in prison for 12 years. Received the sentence after the court ruled that a man named Xiang Li is guilty and convicted of software piracy.
 
   Li is known to have some pirated software provider sites. Among these is a website called Crack99.com. In the act, Li usually hire the services of a hacker to crack the software. Subsequently, Li was selling pirated software at a price that is cheaper than the official prices.
    
     A total of 2000 application that has been sold. Value of pirated software products are sold is very high, reaching the 100 million USD. Software owned by Li also varied, from software engineering, blast simulator, defense applications, space exploration, design and others.

    Li also will be imprisoned in the U.S. for 12 years. After his sentence is completed, Li will be sent to China. Disciplinary action taken by the Delaware Federal District Court also higher than the demand which is only for 5 years.
